Perimenopause is marking a major turning point in my life as I hit 47. Despite a lot of personal growth and introspection, nothing could have prepared me for the overwhelming impact of perimenopause. My life seemed to unravel—relationships strained, mental clarity faltered, and my sense of self eroded. As I grappled with identity crises, childhood trauma, and midlife stress, I realized that traditional labels like ADHD or CPTSD couldn't fully capture my experience. Instead, I'm embracing this period as a profound journey towards authenticity, where acceptance and positive change guide me forward, rather than the pursuit of control or perfect diagnoses.
